Did you notice that in order to have “the latest news in Singapore”; you have to tell the website:

  1. Your Birthday
  2. Your HOUSEHOLD income
  3. Your Profession (19 choices)
  4. Your Interests in Singapore (which is by the way restricted to only 6… Travel, Study, Investment, Career, Entertainment or Arts)

Better still… “Best viewed using Internet Explorer 5.0 or Netscape 4.0 and above, with 800×600 screen resolution.

Oh my goodness !!! How backward is that ? Is that representative of Singapore who is hosting the first Formula One Night Race (which is another ridiculous event with super powerful, energy sucking lamps making the area brighter than noon time…)

Look at the sample Newsletter at

My goodness Tuesday, 07-11-2006 !!! 7th Nov 2006 ???

By the way…I am not kidding… we are warming up the world !

The Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore is fitted with nearly 1,500 lighting projectors, illuminating the 5.067km track with light that is four times brighter than a football stadium at night.

The lighting provides 3000 lux of light (light intensity), compared to 800 lux for football stadium and 30 lux for street lighting

How I warm up my toast… with my power adapter

After 30 mins of surfing the web, my power adapter is hot enough to be used for warming my toast.

That huge heat sink is a spare from my previous monster PC setup and works mighty fine.

The power adaptors seem to suck more power; they started from 65 watts and grew to today’s 90 watts in some “performance” laptops.

I guess I contributed to the melting of the polar ice-caps from my home.
